   KOKATAHI SURVIVES ANOTHER KEITH ONSLAUGHT

Let's not focus on who didn't turn up, but on who did. Because those who did had a damn good time.
First, thanks to Grenville, Yvonne and Kylie for having us and second to FUS and Piez for driving
There was a good reaction from motorists at Castle Hill when a few of the lads went for a run and from then on until Sunday it was all downhill. For future reference the criteria for armwrestling the locals is a look of astonishment when you loose.
Georgie had a rough time of it when his bacon disagreed with him.

Isaac's trick shots at pool were amazing but unconventional which let Team Vermin take the Ashes. Luckily #FUS didn't get anymore votes than the 1 he wrote down for himself, which left Muncher as the only viable option.
With that done, Tommy took his pissed stained electric blanket and we all came home.

Muncher takes away the Keith Cup in a well deserved landslide vote.

Team Vermin take away the Ashes (or have they?) from mediocre competition.

Gentlemen and Kristen (Girls name)

Thereís a lot to start thinking about in the next few weeks about Keith and itís continued place in the world.

1st up is I will be sending out via e-mail later this week to Keith Management the voting form for the 2017 Keith Sportsmen of the Year Awards for their consideration. Now would be a good time to complete that internet banking deposit youíve always been meaning to send to the coach.

Second is of course Kokatahi. If youíre going, be at Keastyís in plenty of time before the departure of the van at 1-00pm sharp.

c. 2017 Sportsmen of the Year Awards are being held 1-00pm at Bealey Speightís Ale House on Sunday, 17th September. Please do your utmost to be there.

Fourthly the 14th Keith Incorporated Annual General Meeting follows on immediately after the Awards and I urge you all to stay for it. It will be setting the direction of the team for 2018 and beyond.

If you have ideas about the forward thinking future of Keith bring them along but make sure youíve thought out any budgetry or management details beforehand.

The Agenda for the meeting as per the legal obligations is here.

What can I say? Mostly good stuff with a little bit of bad stuff. But mostly good stuff.
As we were walking back after the game to our vehicles, Andy mentioned to me how it was a shame some particular Keiths didn't show up for the game. I replied that I, on a weekly basis only, only give my thoughts to those that turned up to play, not those that stayed at home with a big bowl of weetbix and a double vodka. The same today. 27 Keiths turned up ready to end the season against Linwood but an awful lot stayed away. It was their loss, and the effort put in and the memories made were ours and ours alone.   Read more
